Shiv Shankar Kosgi: Making the Leap from ITES to the Sports Industry Shiv Shankar Kosgi’s passion for running led him to make the switch from ITES to sports in 2014. With more than 50 half marathons, a dozen marathon distances, and the grueling 90km Comrades Marathon under his belt since 2012, he’s an avid long-distance runner.
Shiv Kosgi began his career in sports in 2015, initially organizing road races. He was instrumental in developing teams in numerous Indian cities such as Hyderabad, Bhopal, Vizag, Kochi, Bangalore, and Mumbai. He also played a pivotal role in establishing the Hyderabad Runners community, leading the organization of both the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon and the Airtel Hyderabad Marathon. Today, Shiv Kosgi is the co-founder of S S Events.
Shiva Jujjavarupu holds a versatile Profile in PR and Athletics, and a Passion for Event Coordination
- Boasting 25 years of experience in PR and Liaison, Shiva is a seasoned professional.
- Since 2014, Shiva has been a dedicated long-distance runner and cyclist, having competed in road races both in India and abroad.
- Alongside running, Shiva has also developed a passion for longdistance cycling.
- With over 8 years of experience organizing running events across India, Shiva is a seasoned event coordinator.
- Today, Shiva is proud to be a co-founder of S S Events, where a wealth of experience and passion for athletics and event coordination combine.
Surpreet Singh Khalsa, also known as Suri Paaji, is a passionate runner who has turned his love for the sport into a successful profession in the sports industry. He has directed over 79 races and organized several others across India, including prominent races like Tata Mumbai Marathon and TCS World 10K. With over a decade of experience, he has served in various roles such as race director, course in charge, and technical director, and has completed over 50 races ranging from half marathons to 100km ultra races.

Vipin Nambiar, the founder of Emurge, is a Business Development and Brand Solutions professional with 19 years of experience working with media companies like The Times Of India, The Indian Express, Asianet, and so on. Before he began his entrepreneurial stint with Emurge, for the last few years, Vipin has been committed to the field of Sports spearheading the revenue function at Procam International for large format events like the Tata Mumbai Marathon, Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, Tata Consultancy Services World 10K Bengaluru, Tata Steel 25K Kolkata among others.
Emurge focuses on sports sponsorship, community engagement and marketing innovation that can be a catalyst for companies to drive their larger business objectives via sponsorships. He strives to emphasize Sponsorship Investment Optimisation goals for Brands, Sports Promoters & IP Owners.
Having worked closely with large brands like Tata, Airtel, Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Steel, Seiko, GoDaddy, Asics, Puma, and Nike to name a few for their brand imperatives and requirements, his forte lies in large brand & customer connect initiatives, conceptualizing IPs, executing mega-events and leading sizeable sponsorship deals and accounts.
To complement his professional background, Vipin has been a runner chasing longdistance running goals. He was a professional cricketer having played for the Kerala State team and Mangalore University. With his previous companies, he has also been an active playing member for the Kanga League, Times Shield, and various other cricket, and football tournaments. With this experience and understanding of multiple sports and being a core consumer of sports from a player’s point of view, he brings the best customer solutions and engagement opportunities for brands.
